This chime unit is intended for any use cases where you may want to have a chime sound indicating scoring of the 10,000 point digit on electromechanical pinball machines. The chime unit is intended as a custom add-on to the McCullough's 3 chime bar chime unit, since 4 bar chime units were not typically used in electromechanical machines.      

This unit consists of the standard chime unit housing equipped with a single chime bar (dimensions 182mm long and 40mm wide) that tonally complements the McCullough's 3 bar chime units and a single chime solenoid and solenoid plunger. 

The chime unit uses the same hybrid design that will work with any Bally, Gottlieb or Williams electromechanical pinball machine. Some customers have also used these in virtual pinball machines or early 80's electronic pinball machines, but some modifications to the coil may be required by you, like adding shunting diodes to the coils, for the unit to be full compatible with VP or electronic systems. 

Convenient screw crimp connectors allow for easy solder free plug and play installation.  

The overall chime housing and brackets are made of tough 18 gauge (1 mm thick) galvanized steel which insures years of service even with extensive home use.

Although the chime unit does not have the traditional amplification box, the unit uses slightly more powerful coils to produce up to 95 decibels of pleasing chime tones, the same amount of volume produced by chime units with traditional amplification boxes.
